  SAP ABAP Consultant – Manufacturing Domain

  Experience: 5–8 Years

  Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Automotive / Industrial Production

  Role Overview:

  We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in custom development and enhancements within SAP environments, preferably in manufacturing setups. The candidate will work closely with functional consultants (MM, PP, SD, FICO) to design, develop, and support SAP solutions aligned with business processes.

  Key Responsibilities

  Technical Development

  • Design, develop, test, and support RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
  • Strong hands-on experience in Core ABAP (OOABAP preferred).
  • Develop ALV Reports, SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms.
  • Create and modify BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, IDOCs.
  • Work on interfaces with third-party manufacturing systems (MES, WMS, PLM).
  • Develop and optimize data migration programs (LSMW, BDC, BAPI-based uploads).
  • Conduct performance tuning using SQL Trace (ST05), Runtime Analysis (SE30), SAT.
  • Optimize database queries and improve program efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
  • Experience in ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP.
  • Experience in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects (preferred)
  • Knowledge of SAP PI/PO or CPI integrations (preferred)

  Manufacturing-Specific Support

  • Support ABAP developments across PP (Production Planning), MM (Material Management), SD (Sales & Distribution) modules.
  • Work on MRP, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, Production Orders related enhancements.
  • Provide solutions for shop floor integrations and automation requirements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Understanding of basic functional processes in manufacturing.
