  Role Overview

  We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to manage, monitor, and support SAP landscapes in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, performance optimization, security compliance, and high availability across SAP systems supporting core manufacturing operations (PP, MM, SD, QM).

  Key Responsibilities

  SAP System Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC / S/4HANA).
  • Perform SAP system refreshes, client copies, and kernel upgrades.
  • Manage SAP transport system (STMS) across landscapes (DEV, QA, PRD).
  • Monitor daily system health, background jobs, and spool management.
  • Administer SAP HANA database (backup, recovery, monitoring).
  • Perform performance tuning and database optimization.
  • Handle system copies and HANA upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance using ST22, SM21, SM37, ST03N, DBACOCKPIT.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for system dumps and performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement workload analysis and performance optimization strategies.

  Manufacturing Environment Support

  • Ensure high availability of SAP systems supporting Production Planning (PP), Material Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Sales & Distribution (SD).
  • Support shop-floor integrations and third-party manufacturing systems (MES/WMS).
  • Troubleshoot performance issues affecting production processes.

  Security & Compliance

  • Manage SAP user administration and role assignments (with Security team).
  • Ensure compliance with ITGC, audit requirements, and manufacturing regulatory standards.
  • Implement SAP patches, OSS notes, and security updates.
  • Configure and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
  • Work with infrastructure teams on OS-level and hardware issues.
  • Support system upgrades and migration projects (Cloud / S/4HANA).

  Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration (ECC / S/4HANA).
  • Experience with SAP HANA database administration.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix/Windows server environments.
  • Experience in transport management and system monitoring.
  • Good understanding of SAP architecture and landscape planning.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
  • Exposure to SAP Cloud (Azure / AWS / GCP).
  • Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM.
  • ITIL certification (preferred).
